Model United Nations, an educational simulation where students act as diplomats to debate global issues, developing skills in public speaking, research, and negotiation, mimicking UN procedures to find solutions for real-world problems. It's an academic exercise for students to learn about international relations and diplomacy by representing countries and drafting resolutions on current events, with participants taking on roles as delegates.  A student of CYMCASS joined an event in England last November.  His sharing is as below.
‘During my six days in Oxford, I gained a new perspective on life at a global scale. Participating in the Model United Nations (MUN) solidified my understanding of formal debate procedures and the importance of collaboration. I worked with my peers to tackle global issues, and came to realize that holistic solutions often require diverse viewpoints. MUN empowers youths, giving us a seat in rooms where decisions are made. Additionally, I also formed lasting connections with fellow students, making my trip more memorable. This opportunity not only opened my eyes to the broader world, but also provided me with an open, culturally rich and diverse environment where I could speak freely on global politics to reach solutions to problems affecting all walks of life. In parallel, I also honed my public speaking skills with confidence and firmness.’
